Only if they are administered by healthcare workers with the appropriate knowledge and training. At Gen X our drips are administered by experienced Doctors. Only Doctors can give you that medical reassurance.
What’s in a Morning Sickness IV?
You may be wondering what’s in a typical IV treatment. Fluids administered intravenously (IV) in this drip contain Vitamin B6. We can also personalize these infusions, additionally if your case is severe you can have a consultation with our doctor who can prescribe medication which will be added to your infusion.
Saline solution
Normal saline is a mixture of water and sodium chloride. This helps pregnant women stay hydrated in order to form amniotic fluid, produce extra blood volume, build new tissue, carry nutrients, and help indigestion.
Vitamin B6
A form of vitamin B6 called pyridoxine is used. It regulates the brain chemicals serotonin and dopamine, which control emotions. However, in the case of morning sickness, pyridoxine helps reduce nausea and the risk of heart disease. It is found in many foods, so it’s something your body already has.
We can also add other vitamins to your drip to help you during your pregnancy for the health of you and your baby. The pregnancy drip is designed to assist with your morning sickness symptoms.
